Source: people.com

Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn were both rewarded for their breakup – that is, their movie The Break-Up – at Tuesday night's 33rd annual People's Choice Awards. Aniston was named favorite female star, while Vaughn was picked by the public as favorite leading man. "You all have supported me since the days of Friends," Aniston told the audience, "just through all of it – good work, bad work and the ugly. I just thank you." Playing on the movie's title and her real life, she added: "Thank you for loving The Break-Up – I did." Aniston also poked a little fun at Britney Spears, quipping about the short skirt she was wearing: "Man, I tell you, it's a lucky thing we do wear underwear, huh?" Later in the show, by which time his costar and ex-girlfriend had left, Vaughn thanked Aniston in his acceptance speech and called her "one of the great people in Hollywood."

Jessica Simpson and John Mayer: Back ON!

Jessica Simpson and John Mayer may have denied that there was a romance between them several weeks back, but they're sure not hiding their affection for each other anymore. The pair have been spotted all over Los Angeles lately, looking as if they're sharing a lot more than career tips.

Us Weekly reports that Jessica and John had lunch together in Malibu at Paradise Cove Beach Café earlier this month. A snitch told the tabloid, "She didn't eat much. She drank double vodka cranberries. When they got up, Jessica was rubbing his back. You could definitely tell they were on a date."

Meanwhile a source for MSN spotted the couple "blissed out with each other" last weekend at the Four Seasons. The spy says, "They were eating off each other's plates. John rubbed her back [and] Jessica had her hand on his thigh as they leaned into each other and laughed."
Neither Jessica nor John are ready to fess up to more than a casual interest in one another. A source close to Jess told Us, "She's taking her time with it," while another Simpson camp insider told People magazine, that Jessica and John are "enjoying each other's company and seeing how things go. There's no title to their relationship."

One of Mayer's friends told Us, "It's a flirtation. I wouldn't call it full-on dating, but there is a fondness. He doesn't like the attention, but he likes her. He wants to avoid the public scrutiny of last time."

Britney and Paris Losers in 2007, what else is new?

Google, Las Vegas, Yahoo! and Target - take a bow. These four are expected to be among the top 10 brands in 2007, according to a latest brand ranking report from Landor Associates.

Not so lucky are Hollywood's reigning "brat pack" of Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie and Britney Spears. All three were relegated to the predicted 2007 "losers" list.

The fourth annual list of brand winners and losers from marketing firms Landor Associates and Penn Schoen & Berland was based on a Newsmaker Brands survey that asked 2,017 consumers to rank 92 brands familiar to them - products and celebrities - on their performance last year and prospects in the year ahead, the report said. The survey was conducted from Dec. 11 to 15.
